Louis van Gaal leaves the Netherlands bench
The Netherlands Football Associationtoday announced the departure of Louis van Gaal. Quarter-finalist of the last World Cup in Qatar (eliminated by Argentina), the 71-year-old Dutch coach leaves the Oranje selection with a record of 20 matches in 2021-2022 (14 wins, 5 draws, 1 loss).
Louis van Gaal had taken over the Dutch selection, in August 2021, for the third time in his career with the aim of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup. Manchester United and Bayern Munich passes the torch to Ronald Koeman, who returns to a position occupied from 2018 to 2020, before joining the ranks of FC Barcelona.
